Don Camillo is a small man with a big heart and an even bigger mouth. He is the pastor of a small village in the Po Valley in Italy and has a passionate relationship with his community, but also with his political opponent, Mayor Peppone. Although Don Camillo often quarrels with Peppone, he is always ready to help him in an emergency. He is a true “man of the people” and is always open to his sheep. In his free time, Don Camillo enjoys a good grappa and a game of boules with his friends. He is someone who is always good for a joke and a smile.

The Heavea tree is the natural source of the material used to create these delightful little creatures. Lanco toys are made from 100% Natural Rubber, which is constructed from the sap/milk of the common rubber tree - Hevea Brasillensis. The rubber tree is harvested sustainably without the use of herbicides. The bark of the tree is tapped, this means cutting small slits in the the bark, so that the white sap, known as latex, drips out and is caught in a collecting cups. Tapping of rubber trees is done by hand. The natural rubber is safe, non-toxic and readily biodegradable.

The molded latex is hand-painted with non-toxic, permanent certified lead-free paints. It is completely free of PVC, BPA, Phthalate, and Nitrosamines.
